Given the amount of personal data LinkedIn have, and spammy reputation they are trying to shake, I’m not sure if this customer service exchange gives me much faith.

Under the “Receiving Messages” settings, I have set to only receive network updates via web, but I am still being emailed “Network Updates”. How can I disable this?

Dear Clint,
Thank you for contacting LinkedIn customer support. I would suggest that you uncheck then click “Save changes” and then go back in and check the “Web Only” again and then save the changes again. Also, try using a different browser sometimes it makes a different on the browser you are using.
Let us know if you are still experiencing this problem.
What kind of website requires you to push a button again to see if it comes unstuck? And also, It’s 2008; I’ll damn well use Firefox if I please.
